I admit sometimes we call you Hen. We probably shouldn't. It's not a good nickname. It just happened! Anyway!!
Can't believe you are 5 months, darlin'! Our love grows for you more and more each day. Your face is just so squishy and your skin is so so soft! I adore how laid back you are and you seem so content much of the time! Although... when I picked you up from the gym today... you were NOT happy. Yet you quieted right down when I held you. Maybe you aren't so easy with everyone... just content when you are with mama! Well, since you are with me the majority of the time, that should be fine! In fact... I kind of LOVE that you prefer me! Except in the middle of the night. Then, I want you to prefer Dad. Deal? ;-)
We had quite a scare with you this month as you were diagnosed with RSV! That is a big scary word for a really bad cold. It only lasted about a week and you were pretty much fine! The doctor said it was going to last up to 3 weeks so I was very worried! You were not a happy camper! It was so hard to see you not feeling well. :-( I pretty much held you for a week straight! I was pretty tired! I am so happy you are back to your normal self! You are sleeping and eating much better and not congested anymore!
Speaking of eating, you had your first cracker yesterday and you LOVED it! We were at a friend's house with your friend Jordy who is a few months older than you. He was eating "yum yums" which is a fancy name for a dissolvable cracker made specifically for babies. You grabbed right on and gummed that thing right away! You aggressively porked the whole thing down! You got so messy and it was so cute to watch!
And speaking of gumming things.... you have two spankin' new teeth that just came in on the bottom! While you are drooling up a storm, you don't appear to be as fussy as the other kids were when they were teething. You do get pretty serious about chewing and have bit Daddy pretty hard a few times. Now if you bite me while nursing we are going to have some issues, little dude!
Yesterday marked the 10 year anniversary since your Grandma Kathleen passed away. Oh man, buddy, I wish you could have met her. She was a wonderful lady and would have loved you so much! It's hard for me to not have my own mommy around because I really want to introduce the two of you. I know she would love kissing on your cheeks and sweet baby toes as much as I do! I will just have to kiss you extra!
Well little guy, here are some pictures from this past month!
